And we are back with another blog on the most common mistakes you make when applying false lashes and we'll tell you how to fix them! Have a read to see if you're applying falsies the correct way!
1. You're not cutting your false lashes down to your eyelid size.
Have you ever had that dreaded corner unglue and lift off your eyelid?? If the answers yes, then it means you're not cutting your lashes down to the size of your eye. Its a MUST especially if you're one of those people like me who have small eyes so cutting them down can not only help to make your falsies look more natural but also prevent irritation from them too. Leaving them as they are can lead to the corners ungluing and causing irritation and discomfort.
PRO-Lash Tip: Hold the falsie against your eye to measure them first and cut off whats necessary. You'll find its not only more comfortable, but its much quicker to apply your lashes too!
2. You're using mascara after applying your false eyelashes.
Not only does using mascara completely ruin your false eyelashes, it will reduce the number of times your falsies can be worn as well as ruin your natural eyelashes too. Applying mascara after applying your falsies defeats the object of wearing falsies as they can ruin the shape/style of the false eyelash and you'll find when taking your eyelashes off, it will nearly rip or pull your natural eyelashes off too!
PRO-Lash Tip: Avoid using mascara, especially if you're buying mink lashes. Our mink lashes can be worn up to 25 times and using mascara will reduce this number considerably! Instead, try using a heated eye lash curler to your natural eyelashes first before applying our falsies.
3. You're applying your falsie too far away from your natural lash line.
This can be a very common mistake leaving some of you with a gap between your falsies and your lash line!...a look you don't really want to go for! However, its very easy to do especially if you're in a hurry.
PRO-Lash Tip: Give yourself enough time when applying falsies and try using an eye lash applicator. Hold the lash close to your lash line so that your strip lash is sitting on top of your natural lashes. Wait for the glue to dry and then try adjusting them into place using some tweezers.
4. You're throwing away your lashes too soon.
As a rule usually Human hair lashes can be used between 5-7 times and our Mink falsies can be used up to 25 times! So if you're one of those people who tend to throw away your lashes after using them once, think again as your wasting your money! Mink lashes tend to be more expensive for this reason so investing in a good pair of falsies can definitely be worth the money.
PRO-Lash Tip: Read our blog on How to clean false eyelashes to find out more on how to look after them so you're making use of your lashes as much as possible!
5. You're using your fingers to apply false eyelashes.
If you're one of those people who struggle to put falsies on with ease it may be because you're not using an applicator. Using an eyelash applicator is the best way to apply falsies with ease as it prevents you from smudging your eye make up as you would when using your fingers.
PRO-Lash Tip: Hold the eye lash strip as close to your natural lash line and press it down with the applicator once the glue is sticky and tacky!
And thats all from me, hope these 5 tips help you and guide you to wearing falsies the correct way! Please feel free to contact us if there's anything else we can help you with.
